Meeting with Natasha Lowther, Associate Director of BARNES London.

Could you please introduce yourself briefly? How was your office created?

Hello, I’m Tash, and I’ve been with BARNES London for a year, having previously been an Agent with Sotheby’s and Keller Williams in New York. We have one physical location, our “Concept Store”, located in South Kensington and in addition to performing as a busy agency, we also feature exhibitions of local artists’ work and host regular events.

How is your office structured and what areas do you cover today?


Our office covers all of Prime Central London (“PCL”) and some of the Greater London periphery that are strong feeder markets to our core market. Our Sales Team is comprised of Consultants (in the UK there is a difference between salaried and non-salaried agents), who have a wide range of experience and speak a number of different languages allowing us to cater to the needs of the large number of international clients and customers who are interested in buying, selling or investing in London.

What types of services do you offer?

We offer Sales services for Sellers, Search Agent capabilities for buyers and are able to help answer any questions and provide guidance for anyone interested in the London property market!s on our island.

How does the transaction process look like in the UK?

It’s a little different here to how it works Stateside – our Team would be happy to share our Buyers Guide to provide a birds-eye view of what the process looks like!

For a foreigner investor, why would you recommend London and what products or location would you suggest?

Despite a great deal of unrest across the globe on a geopolitical level, London continues to be seen as a safe haven when it comes to property to buy, live in and/or invest. It’s a business and economic centre with access to exceptional schooling, good employment and with a stable democracy. London continues to see a healthy amount of new development which is typically favoured by the foreign investor and one of our New Home Specialists will be able to offer guidance and counsel on these opportunities.
