Meeting with François LE TROQUER, Managing Partner of BARNES Pays d’Aix-en-Provence.
Could you please introduce yourself and tell us how your office has been created?
BARNES has been present in Aix-en-Provence for almost 10 years. The agency is co-directed by myself, François LE TROQUER, and my wife Ludmila SHEGOLEVA. BARNES Aix-en-Provence is one of the oldest BARNES agency in the South of France, the first one opened in Provence. Our new offices are located in an elegant Hôtel Particulier, on the beautiful, tree-lined Cours Mirabeau.
How is your office structured and what areas do you cover today?
Our team mainly covers the entire Western Provence, which includes Aix-en-Provence, the Lubéron, the Alpilles, and the Haute-Provence. Our team is international and speaks multiple language, including Italian, Spanish, Russian,… in addition of English of course.
What types of services do you offer?
We offer sales and rentals, but also seasonal rentals. BARNES Aix-en-Provence also works closely with the BARNES “Propriétés et Châteaux” department, because the region has abundant castles and exceptional properties, some a few centuries old!
For a foreigner investor why would you recommend the Provence region and what products or location would you suggest?
As an ambassador of the French Art of Living, there is no better region that BARNES could suggest to illustrate the French lifestyle with a subtle Southern touch. Provence is a beautiful area, and the city of Aix-en-Provence is specifically very resourceful. It offers all the main infrastructures, close to Marseilles and Nice with international airports nearby, and a 3 hour high-speed train ride to Paris.
The international communities are well established in the city, with international schools. The city is also very dynamic economically. A beautiful Hôtel Particulier in Aix-en-Provence, a bastide in the Lubéron or in the Alpilles, or a contemporary villa in the heart of the city are all a perfect choice, whether to live, rent or as an investment.
