The West Village is bound by Hudson Street to 14th street and 6 Avenue to the Hudson River. Famous for its brown stone buildings, the West Village is a very charming neighborhood. Known as the “Little Bohemia”, the area is one of the most European looking neighborhoods of Manhattan.
The neighborhood features many great restaurants and wine bars such as Spotted Pig, Café Minerva and the famous brunch place Extra Virgin. Enjoy your weekly cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery and find unique boutiques including the Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and the new Michael Kors emporium stores along Bleecker Street. The Meatpacking District at the North end of this neighborhood also known as the “Gansevoort Historic District,” is also filled with trendy boutiques and nightclubs.

Very accessible, the West Village can be reached through the A, B, C, D, E, F, V through the West 4th stop and N, R through the 8th Street stop. You can also use the MTA Bus: 1, 2,3,5,6,10,14,21.
To access the neighborhood by subway, you may use lines 4, 5, and 6, as well as the L, F and V train. Cross-town buses include the M8, the M14, the M14A and the M14D.
